Former Maine Poet Laureate Wes McNair&#8217;s new collection, <em>The Unfastening<\/em>, seeks to answer this question through poems of sorrow, and hope, and joy.&#8221; (quoted from back cover)<\/p>\n<p>McNair read selected poems and talked about the complex, unexpected process through which the book reached its final form. This event also served to launch <em>The Unfastening<\/em> web site, the latest digital collaboration between McNair, Special Collections and Academic ITS at Colby. McNair&#8217;s remarks, preceded by an introduction from Patricia Burdick, were recorded and are now available for viewing.
