&#8211; The Longing To See"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>The Longing To See<\/h2>\n<p>You won&#8217;t be able<br \/>\nto see through it,<br \/>\nsaid the surgeon who<br \/>\nput the dark bubble<\/p>\n<p>of gas into my sick<br \/>\neye, yet if i held it<br \/>\njust so, I could steal<br \/>\ninside its small,<\/p>\n<p>refracted world,<br \/>\nbroken into beautiful<br \/>\ncolors that sickness<br \/>\nand dark had made,<\/p>\n<p>a sort of poetry<br \/>\nwithout the words,<br \/>\nwhich I returned to<br \/>\neven after the bubble<\/p>\n<p>was gone &#8212; all well<br \/>\nexcept for my old<br \/>\nincompleteness<br \/>\nand the longing<\/p>\n<p>for its way of seeing,<br \/>\nthe irresistible<br \/>\nlooking out<br \/>\nwhile looking in.<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div
