\nuncomfortable. Chaplain Adamo has
\nbeen to tell me that there will be a
\ncommunion service at the 16th N.Y.
\nthis afternoon and invites me. Shall
\nI attend? I have not sat at the
\ntable of the Lord since the few days
\nprevious to my \u201cleaving for the wars.\u201d
\nI should be overjoyed to attend the
\nService with the church. But<\/span>
\nThose<\/span>fit to sit at the table
\nare<\/span> only those who have believed
\nand<\/span> been baptized
\nHave<\/span> these fulfilled the requirement
\nDutch<\/span> Reformed, Presbyterian, Free
\nWill<\/span> Baptists, Orthodox +e.<\/p>\n

I<\/span> can attend no service today; so I am
\nspending the time in thought on the past \u2013 what
\nI have done – what left undone – in what
\npoints I fail – where I may improve – and
\nso be of the greatest possible service to
\nmy country and the world.
\nOne<\/span> thing sure I may ever rely
\nupon and that is this. I must have
\nstrength that comes from on high.
\nOr else I shall utterly fail.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n
