\nagreement it should be traceable
\nto plain causes such as a difference
\nin climates of the theatres of war +
\nconsequently [carrot<\/em>: a difference] in requirements of the
\ntroops, and the duration of the war may
\npossibly be a cause, or its intensity,
\nor the difference as regards parties involved,
\nin respect of means + importance.

Our mess is getting to be an
