\nwith my class at Waterville.

\nmatter, God permitting, I will one
\nof these days resume my studies
\nagain.

\nreturned from Richmond today. He
\nis looking rough. The story of their
\ncapture is quite interesting. He
\nis Major of Topog. Eng. in reg. serv. [?] +
\nEntering it in 1832.

\nThe<\/span> Army is on the eve of
\na movement; but in what direction
\nit is doubtful. Everything that
\nis likely to be an encumbrance
\nhas been placed on shipboard. Beige
\ntrains, reserve artillery, ammunitions,
\nquarter master and commissary stores
\ntogether with all the sick of the Army
\nhave debarked, or rather embarked.

\nPope<\/span> has had a fight and held
\nhis ground in the vicinity of Culpepper.

\nAverhill and horse batteries\u2014to cover
\nthe movement. Franklin follows
\nPorter.
