Three more cheers and<br \/>\nthen the band play \u201cYankee Doodle\u201d.<br \/>\nEveryone felt cheerful and many<br \/>\nwere the congratulations that officers<br \/>\nshowered upon their brothers. This<br \/>\nmorning we have heard nothing<br \/>\nbut firing of cannon in every<br \/>\ndirection. They will have grand<br \/>\ntimes in Washington tonight. Am<br \/>\ngoing to try and be there.
