I have been sick in
\nbed for three days with grip,
\nso please excuse a brief reply.<\/p>\n
We had expected to be home
\nbefore this, and I am disappointed
\nnot to be. Now it is not
\npossible to tell when we
\nwill come. By all means,
\nI would have a meeting of
\nthe Board, and arrange for
\nthe Basket Meeting. I should<\/p>\n
think it a very good plan to
\nwrite Mrs. Stevens to come.<\/p>\n
I shall certainly not be home in
\ntime for the Board Meeting, but
\nhope to for the Basket Meeting,
\nand shall surely go, if possible.
\nI cannot tell now when we
\nshall be in Maine.<\/p>\n

\nbed, although more comfortable,

\na week or two before we can
\nreturn to Maine. I had
\n[?] a bad attack of Grip
\nmyself, and have not got<\/p>\n
my strength back yet, but
\nmother\u2019s was more serious,
\nand she gains slowly.<\/p>\n
Grace will not go home
\nuntil after we do.<\/p>\n
I think your program
\nas outlined very attractive
\nand I am sure you will
\nhave an interesting meeting.
\nI am so glad you are
\nable to be in the [work?]
\nagain. Please give
\nmy very cordial greeting
\nto the ladies, and<\/p>\n
express to them my
\nregret at being unable
