Northfield Mass.<\/p>\n<p>Feb. 8, 1900<\/p>\n<p>My dear Miss Coburn:<br \/>\nWill you consent<br \/>\nto act as a member of<br \/>\nthe committee to confer<br \/>\ntogether on the interests of<br \/>\nthe Women\u2019s Division of<br \/>\nColby? Such a committee,<br \/>\naccording to the report of<br \/>\nthe Alumni Meeting of last<br \/>\nJune, was to consist of the<br \/>\nPresident of the college, two of<br \/>\nthe trustees (Messrs. Crane and<br \/>\nKing were appointed), the Dean<\/p>\n<p>of the Women\u2019s Division, and<br \/>\ntwo from the alumnae.<br \/>\nThe alumnae members are<br \/>\nyourself and Mrs. Randall<br \/>\n(Alice Sawtelle). I hope that<br \/>\nyou will accept the ap-<br \/>\npointment: for I believe that<br \/>\nthe ideals of the alumnae<br \/>\nfor the college can be best<br \/>\nfurthered by the help of<br \/>\nable members on this com-<br \/>\nmittee.
