It is hot enough for
the world to crack and right along
through this section, too. I cannot
help thinking of those warm
passages in Coleridges “Ancient
Mariner -” Wilson would repeat
them to me glibly were he here.

The enemy attempted an attack
on our right yesterday, stampeding
Philip St. Geo. Cooke. McClellan
has gone to the other side of
the river.

 

Am not well by any
means today. This climate
is debilitating.
