John Travolta plays a fictionalized forger caught up in a theft ring, and the film incorporates themes of familial ties competing with the thrill of working with a crime ring, and the fulfillment the main character finds in each. As the three main characters struggle with limitations of age, illness, and conscience, the purpose driving the forgery intensifies.
