There have already been five cases of polio in Pakistan in 2012, despite intense vaccination campaigns.The caption blames pro-Taliban and religious groups who, allegedly, say the United States is trying to sterilize Muslims. This blanket defense\u00a0for eradication failures and blatant ignorance of local realities blames Pakistani culture instead of the eradication initiative for polio\u2019s continued presence in Pakistan.
