We\u2019re excited you want to work with Chadika!<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 321px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-right \" style=\"line-height: 26px\" src=\"http:\/\/web.colby.edu\/colbyinmalawi\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/2369\/files\/chadika\/img_6488.jpg\" alt=\"img_6488\" width=\"311\" height=\"243\" \/><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">The band at Chadika CBO<\/p><\/div>\n<p>First, there are a few things to consider.<\/p>\n<p>(1) All interns must be current Colby students (with preference given to members of Luzi). And students who are not currently members of Luzi should join the club and begin to learn about the partnership between Luzi and Chadika. Be prepared to share your experience when you return to the Hill!<br \/>\n(2) Internships will take place during JanPlan, although you do not have to earn Colby\u2019s JanPlan or internship credit to apply.<\/p>\n<p>Interns should be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>flexible<\/em>: things won&#8217;t always work out as planned; it&#8217;s necessary to be able to develop back up plans and be comfortable adapting to unexpected situations<em><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><\/em><em>have the ability to work independently<\/em>: while interns will receive support from the Face-to-Face staff, they will also be expected to carry out their own projects. Interns should be comfortable taking initiative<em><\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>aware of and\u00a0<\/em><em>sensitive to other cultures and ways of thinking<\/em>: Malawians approach life and many other topics in a ways that are new and different to\u00a0interns.\u00a0Interns\u00a0must not judge or condemn other ways of thinking but embrace and learn from our differences and similarities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Click <a href=\"http:\/\/web.colby.edu\/colbyinmalawi\/files\/2012\/03\/Application1.doc\">HERE<\/a>\u00a0to download the written application.
