The Colby Economic Outlook<\/em> provides short term model-based forecasts\"\"<\/a> for the U.S. and Maine economies.  This newsletter represents the final project for the students in the Economic Forecasting capstone senior seminar at Colby College.  Students in the seminar learn advance methods of times series forecasting and econometric modeling.  The class maintains the Colby Quarterly Econometric Model of the U.S. economy, and a companion model for the Maine economy, to produce the forecasts in the CEO.<\/p>\n
