9 Schedule: Section B"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now that we know that electrons are in <em>orbitals <\/em>(not orbits!) around the nucleus, that different orbitals have different shapes and energy levels, and that no two electrons can have the same 4 quantum numbers, we will be able to determine how electrons are arranged around <em>any<\/em> element.\u00a0 This week we&#8217;ll build on this understanding to discuss periodic trends and chemical properties for the elements in chapter 7.<\/p>\n<p>Homework 8 is now posted on Mastering Chemistry.\u00a0 It is due on <strong>Saturday at midnight\u00a0<\/strong>and will cover all of chapter 6.<\/p>\n<p>Office hours this week will be Wednesday from 2:30-4:00 pm and Friday from 1:00-2:30pm.\u00a0 Feel free to email me if you&#8217;d
