Colby students and faculty from all disciplines are invited to apply for funding from the Buck Lab for Climate and Environment to support projects related to climate change or other environment issues. Students may apply for a student research grant to support independent research projects or projects with Colby faculty or other research mentors or a community engagement grant to support a civic engagement project or other work with partners from outside Colby. Students may also apply for environmental internship funding or take advantage of one of the Buck Lab’s ongoing internships with our partner organizations. Faculty may apply for a student-faculty collaborative research grant to support environment-related research involving Colby students. This collaborative research may be proposed during the fall and/or spring semester, during Jan Plan (4 weeks) or during summer (up to 10 weeks).
Detailed grant guidelines are at the link below. Two rounds of grants are available during each academic year to support research projects in January/spring semester (October deadline) and summer (April deadline). Proposals may also be considered outside of these deadlines — please contact [email protected]
