Welcome to Activist Voices. This website features podcasts created by 10 Colby College students during an Activist Art course in fall 2019, taught by Professor Amber Hickey. Each student chose one artist or activist to interview, whose work relates to their final project. The voices featured include politically engaged artists, an abortion doula, student activists, and an organizer with the Maine Poor People’s Campaign — just to name a few.
