Colby College’s Ultimate Frisbee Team, Center for Disc Control (CDC), is a club sport open to all Ultimate enthusiasts. Regardless of whether or not you have played before, the team provides a great opportunity for people of all skill levels to enjoy the sport of Ultimate and make a bunch of wicked close friends.
Do you like throwing flat balls? Do you like catching things? Do you like appropriate and responsible social activities? If your answer is yes to any of these, CDC Ultimate is for you!
We’re more than just a team. We’re a family, and you’re invited.
Throughout the fall and spring seasons, Colby’s teams play other New England colleges and universities. In the Fall, the season is mostly co-ed, with an emphasis on player development and fun scrimmages. The Fall season also features laid-back, mixed tournaments around the New England area.
In the Spring, we split into Men’s and Womxn’s teams where play gets more competitive. Each team travels all across the east cost, playing tournaments from upstate New York down to New Jersey. Over Spring break, we take a group trip down to South Carolina to participate in the High Tide Ultimate Tournament, which is a great way to bond and develop as a team. The Spring season culminates with Sectionals, Regionals, and maybe even Nationals if we’re good enough!
If you would like to learn more about the team, don’t be afraid to contact us. Make sure to visit us at the club fair too!
