“You must change your life.” ~~ Rainer Marie Rilke
I am certified as a Jungian psychoanalyst, a graduate of the C. G. Jung Institute, Boston, and a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychologists (IAAP) and the New England Society of Jungian Analysts (NESJA). I have an MA in Counseling Psychology and a Ph.D. in Sociology/Social Psychology – with specialties in interpersonal relations, human development, family, gender and sexualities, aging, and narrative. Through my training in Jungian psychoanalysis and related fields, and many years of teaching in university and college settings, my practice as a psychotherapist is grounded on a breadth of experiences and perspectives. A skilled listener, I’m able to explore with you experiences you bring and that we share in session. I work with a wide range of psychological issues, such as:
- relationship or family difficulties
- feelings of meaninglessness and spiritual malaise
- grief and loss
- dreams, fantasies and other unconscious material
Analytic sessions are usually sixty minutes in length, although you may request a longer session, and occur once or twice weekly. My regular fee is 115 dollars an hour.
I have a private practice with an office in Portland – 4 Moulton Street, 4C – and another in Topsham. You may reach me by telephone at (207) 873-8227 or (207) 844-8936, or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
