Student Teacher Resources is a website for student teachers looking for materials within U.S. history! Here is a brief guide on how to use the various functions to make it easier for you to navigate through the pages and find what you’re looking for.

Time Periods The history of the U.S. is divided into six time periods. Under each time period, there are several topics, all of which have separate pages. Each topic page has a list of on-line sources– lesson plans, overviews, quizzes, questions, videos, images etc. Additionally, each link is followed by a description highlighting the contents of the link and its usefulness. |
Lesson Plans Lesson plans from all topics are given here in no specific sequence. If you are looking for a lesson plan for a specific topic, using the search function might be quicker. |
Useful Websites This page provides a list of websites that are useful when looking for U.S. history information and teaching materials. They are divided into three categories: top 12 sites that are all encompassing, top ten sites with good primary sources and a list of other useful sites. Each site name has a description to go with it. |

Background Information Background information on all the topics are provided here – these vary newspaper articles, books, journal articles, online pages etc. If you are looking for background information on a specific topic, using the search function might be quicker. |
