Colby Men’s Basketball may be known nationally now for their wild bench player celebrations featured on ESPN, yet they are known locally for their contributions and services to Atwood Elementary School in Oakland, ME. The team recently in April participated in a community service event where the guys got to hang out with some Atwood Primary School children for a day. Nationally or locally, these guys are always full of energy!
The Colby Men’s Soccer team may be Mules at heart, but they reserved a soft spot for some elephants this past month. On April 26, 2014 the Men’s Soccer team offered up their Saturday to provide services as volunteers at the sanctuary and visit Hope Elephants. Hope Elephants, located in Hope, ME, is a unique rehabilitation and educational facility for retired and injured elephants. This organization is committed to providing the very best services to aging and injured elephants, whilst promoting a community-based educational program to facilitate better knowledge about wildlife conservation.
