Photos were judged not only on the picture but also the student’s description/interpretation of the photo based on the category descriptions. It’s that time in the semester when Colby staff across the campus work together to make sure students prepare to leave, as prepared as possible, for off-campus study next semester. Pre-departure preparation is an essential part of assuring a successful experience for students.
International Education Week is an opportunity to celebrate the benefits of international education and exchange worldwide.
The Open Doors Report on International Educational Exchange is published by the Institute of International Education. Each year IIE conducts an annual statistical survey of campuses regarding the international students in the United States and on U.S. students studying abroad for academic credit.

When considering Off-Campus Study start by thinking about yourself: your goals for off-campus study (personal, professional & academic goals), your needs (academic or personal), your comfort level, and other considerations or any special needs or physical/mental health needs or conditions. On Tuesday, September 15, 2015, over eighty members of the Colby community including students, faculty, and staff gathered to share good food and stories about their study abroad experiences and welcome seniors returning from study abroad back to Colby.
