The Newman Council is Colby’s student-run Catholic organization providing and encouraging both Catholic and non-Catholic students to develop and share their faith. Colby Newman Council members hail from all around the world, coming from different families, backgrounds, cultures and societies but regardless of our differences we are united in one faith, one community and one family – the Roman Catholic Church. Newman Council’s activities can, in some ways, be summarized in the three phrases on our poster:
Find Answers. We seek answers to life’s important questions and so help lay the foundation for life after college.
Encounter God. Faith is about a living relationship with God. There’s nothing like knowing that you are loved, unconditionally, and that there is a master plan for your life.
Experience Community. We’re committed to helping one another in our relationship with God, and having a good time doing it! Our activities include social and service events, as well as discussions and prayer. Join us! We’d love to welcome you.
Whether you’re part of Newman Council, a prospective student, or a community member interested in becoming involved with Colby, please explore the various activities and events we offer.
May God bless you and keep you safe,
