Mark Macksoud graduated from New England Conservatory of Music in 1984, with a bachelor of music degree, jazz performance.  He has also studied with Tony Williams in New York City and Alan Dawson in Lexington, MA.  He has performed throughout the United States and have toured Germany, Belgium and France with the Mark Kleinhaut Trio. In addition to teaching drum set at Colby, he is also a private instructor at Perkins Music House and Down Home Music.  He is currently performing throughout the state of Maine with various groups and orchestras as a free lance percussionist.
