Professional Information

Carl Dimow is an eclectic musician whose performances range from blues and jazz to classical and world music.  Also an  accomplished flutist, he has appeared in concerts and festivals in the US, Europe and Central America.  Carl tours with the Casco Bay Tummlers klezmer band who have been featured at festivals in Italy, Germany and Lithuania and have released three CD’s.  Carl has also released two CD’s with the Kolosko Dimow Duo.  As a composer, he has created original works for film, theater, jazz ensemble and chamber group.  Carl joined the applied music faculty at Colby in 1981.  His teaching draws on his wide ranging interests and background.
