Safe Passage - At 7:30pm on Tuesday, April 9th in the Pugh Center, the LAS Program will host a representative from the organization, Safe Passage, to discuss ways to use education to combat social inequality in Guatemala City.
abUSed: The Postville Raid - The documentary presents the human face of immigration, the socioeconomic forces that fuel it, and serves as a cautionary tale against government abuses. Join the Oak Institute for the Study of International Human Rights, the Latin American Studies program, and other departments and programs for the screening of this documentary at 8pm in the Pugh Center on Wednesday, April 10.
Censorship & the Cuban Revolution: The Case of Reinaldo Arenas - Jorge Olivares will present from his new book on Thursday, April 18 at 4pm in the Robinson Room of Miller Library.
