Having earned a degree in Dramaturgy from Cuba’s National Arts School (el Instituto Superior de Arte) in 2010, Lili received the Virgilio Piñera Playwrighting Prize that same year for her play Museo, which was subsequently published by Ediciones Alarcos in Havana. She was an artist in residence in Stuttgart, Germany in 2011, where she wrote Entropía, which was staged in Havana during summer, 2012. Her Play No hagas milagros por mí received honorable mention for the George Woodyard International Theatre Prize, also in 2012. In addition to her writing, Lili has directed several of her works in Cuba and in Europe, most recently in Stockholm, where she was invited as part of the 9th Congress for Women Playwrights International. Since 2009 she has been a contributing editor of the revista Tablas-a journal dedicated to Cuban theatre-and her works have been translated and included in anthologies in Germany and the United States.
