Temple Beth El Art Festival, Portland, 1968
Temple Beth El’s annual art festival was a highlight of Maine’s cultural calendar during the 1960s and ’70s. The 1968 festival consisted of artifacts and artwork from Brandeis University’s art collection. The exhibition included work from Jewish and gentile artists alike, ranging from ancient sculptures to modern pop art paintings.
