Integrated Studies offers the liberal arts in its most focused and ideal form.  Students take three courses – each limited to sixteen students – in three different disciplines, which all focus on the same broad, important topic or historical period. In addition to the three courses in the cluster, you also sign up for a fourth course, which allows you to fulfill other requirements or try out a course in a potential major.

Integrated Studies clusters allow students to explore a subject in great depth, working closely with a team of three faculty members in small, seminar-style classes. Not only do you become an expert in a broad subject area, but you also learn how to approach important questions from multiple perspectives and to make creative interdisciplinary connections. It’s a great foundation for the rest of your liberal arts education.
