AR381–485 / Photography III–VII

These advanced courses provide further exploration of the materials, techniques, and ideas covered in previous classes. Students may choose to work using traditional darkroom techniques and/or digital media according to what is most appropriate for their work. These courses will also introduce more advanced methods, materials, and equipment including medium and large format cameras project that explores that can be signed out by students. Each student will complete specific assignments as well as a semester-long and further defines his or her personal photographic vision. Through class lectures and discussions, critiques of student work, visits to exhibitions, and the viewing of images and videos, the course will continue to investigate photography’s potential as an expressive artistic medium. Prerequisite: AR282 (or previous course in sequence).
