Erin Sheets is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Colby College, where she teaches courses in introductory psychology, statistics and research methods, abnormal psychology, emotion, and creativity.  Her research interests focus on the interplay of stress and personality on the course of depression, particularly during life transitions such as the transition to college. Dr. Sheets also works as a licensed clinical psychologist at a private practice in Brunswick, Maine.

Erin Sheets received her A.B. in Psychology and Spanish from Duke University in 2001. She then attended graduate school at the University of Colorado at Boulder, completing her M.A. in 2004 and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology in 2008. After completing a predoctoral internship in adult clinical psychology at Brown University, Dr. Sheets received specialized training as a postdoctoral fellow in mood disorders and perinatal mental health at Brown University and Butler Hospital.  She joined the faculty of Colby College in Fall 2010.
