The Wordle site will generate a word cloud from any text you provide. You can type the text into a dialog box or upload a document. Then Wordle will create a graphical cloud image of your text. Words that are used most often are larger; words used least often are smaller. You can select a color pallett and whether words are random vertically, horizontally or both. You can print the output or capture the screen to create a graphics image of your cloud.

Here is a sample based on the lyrics to Gordon Lightfoot’s “Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald“:
