Kip Fulbeck

Kip_fulbeckKip Fulbeck was born in 1965 in Fontana, California. He went to UCLA, Dartmouth, and UC San Diego, where he earned his Masters in Fine Arts. His works include videos, spoken word, and photography, which investigate identity and the concept of mixed race. He incorporates autobiographical content in all his work. His most famous work, The Hapa Project, is composed of photographs of many different people who are mixed race, or hapas. Fullbeck himself is Cantonese, Irish, and English. His work has been featured in many different exhibitions, and he has been shown on CBS, The Today Show, and MTV. He is currently living in Santa Barbara, where he teaches Spoken Word and other art classes at UC Santa Barbara.
